These cookies rely on browned butter and a short chill for maximum flavor and the perfect chew.
Ingredients
- Unsalted butter (melted and browned) 226.00 g
- Brown sugar 200.00 g
- Granulated sugar 100.00 g
- Large eggs 2.00 pc
- Vanilla extract 2.00 tsp
- All-purpose flour (sifted) 320.00 g
- Baking soda 1.00 tsp
- Salt 1.00 tsp
- Chocolate chips 300.00 g
Method
- Brown the butter in a saucepan until nutty and golden, then cool slightly.
- Whisk browned butter with both sugars until glossy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla until pale and thick.
- Fold in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Scoop onto a lined tray and bake at 190°C for 11-13 minutes until edges are golden.
